National Organization for Women Washington D.C. Chapter and Capitol Hill Chapter newsletters, newspaper articles, and other historic documents, 1971 circa-1999, bulk circa 1971-circa 1985.

This collection contains newsletters, correspondence, newspaper articles, and reports. The material covers the workings of the Washington D.C. Chapter and the Capitol Hill Chapter of the National Organization for Women, from about 1971 to 1985. The newsletters are from the D.C. Chapter, 1971-1974 with some issues in 1976 and one issue from 1999. The bulk of the material seems to have been a scrapbook with newspaper clippings and other material that documents the work of these chapters. Scattered among these documents are a few newsletters from the Washington Area Women's Center titled "In Our Own Write," apparently from the early 1980s.
